Just Poold It.

Poold is a free tool for settling a group decision with a vote. You ask a question, add two to six options, and share the link. Anyone who opens it votes once, anonymously, and everyone sees the result. It is built for the thing a group chat is bad at: getting to an answer.

No. You never need one to make a Poold or to vote on one, and neither does anybody you send it to. Making a Poold takes about fifteen seconds and the only thing you hand out is a link. Signing in with Google is optional and does exactly one thing: it keeps the Poolds you have made in one place, so a link lost in a group chat is not gone for good.

Yes. Nobody, including you, can see who voted for what. Poold does not store a name, an email or an account against a vote. All it keeps is a one way hash of an anonymous browser cookie, which exists only to stop the same person voting twice on the same Poold.

No. A vote is never stored against a person, signed in or not. An account holds one thing, the list of Poolds you made, and it is visible to nobody but you. There is no name on a result, no way to look up how somebody voted, and no difference at all in what a voter sees.

Not from the same browser. Each Poold allows one vote per browser, enforced when the vote is saved rather than only in the page, so reloading or reopening the link will not add another. Somebody determined to vote twice from a different device can, which is the honest trade for not making anyone sign in to vote.

You choose when you make it: one hour, twenty four hours, three days, seven days, or no expiry at all. Twenty four hours is the default. When it closes the result is final and you get a card with the verdict on it to send back to the group.

Yes. Any option can carry a photo, which is what makes Poold useful for choosing between outfits, places, posters or anything else easier to look at than to describe. Photos are resized in your browser before they upload, so it stays quick on a phone.

A poll inside an app only reaches the people in that app, and a story poll disappears in a day. A Poold is a link, so it works in any chat, any group and any app at once, and the same link keeps working afterwards. Votes are anonymous rather than visible to the group, and when it closes you get a shareable card with the result.

Yes, completely, with no account required, no limit on how many Poolds you make and nothing to install. It can be added to a phone home screen and opened like an app if you want it there.
